Unlock Charter Funding for Online History
Tap into your charter-school funds for online, content-rich, high school history curricula aligned with state standards. With our exciting, original, and comprehensive history content, charter networks and virtual schools can offer fully online high school courses with engaging on-location videos, primary-doc analysis, asynchronous guidance and modeling, and multimedia resources for learning and review.
Current Offerings (with many more to come!):
American History — A four-part series with built-in supplemental credits that complement each semester’s content, from Historical Methods, to Composition, to Rhetoric and Logic, to American Literature
World History — A two-part course with a built-in supplemental credit in Humanities. The courses divide the world into sixteen regions, and follow the historical development of each region from prehistory to the present, including on-location video content from nearly every continent and over forty countries (and counting!)
Media Literacy — A one-semester course that seeks to provide perspective on our present information environment, and to develop a handful of skills for navigating that environment with strong discernment and good judgment
History of Alaska — This one-semester course fulfills the Alaska Studies requirement for high school students in Alaska, and serves as an elective deep-dive into the state’s history for students anywhere
Pirates — This course offers a swashbuckling history of the Americas in the Age of Sail, and a potentially engaging subject area for students otherwise not inclined toward history
Free Speech — This is a free, one-semester history elective that students can take through our partner institution, FIRE. Filled with all the same top-notch NP content students are used to, but hosted elsewhere
